A quick reminder for North Americans who have an account at Club Nintendo: the Club Nintendo year 2009-2010 is about to end! So register all games you haven't registered and fill all your pending polls if you're aiming for the Gold or Platinum Elite Status. At the official site, there's no details on this year's rewards yet. As you may remember, last year it was - Doc Louis's Punch-Out!! or an official Mario hat for Platinum Members
- a 2010 calendar for Gold Members.

I earned 450 coins from 2009 to 2010 so I have Gold status. I am not sure which reward to pick... maybe I will go for Toad & Friends Folder Set with Bookmarks. I am a fan of Toad and I could use the bookmarks for my reading.

Since 600 is the number of spent Coins necessary for the Platinum status (I'm at 620 now), I'm actually saving my pending registrations for the next year

Well, I will get the calendar. Too bad I am not a Platinum member, I would have gotten the figurine. It has all six of my most favorite Mario characters plus a Goomba. Next time, I will try to aim for Platinum. I only need to register 600 Coins worth of games in one year, right?

Club Nintendo's website had some errors earlier:
* After logging in, the pop-up window that allows you to redeem your Elite Status Reward partially appears. Refreshing the page one or more may help completely show it. * If that doesn't work, you can try clicking its "To-Do" button in the "To-Do" list, but it would lead to a "Woops" page. * If the redeeming pop-up window appears, and when you click its redeem button, you'll enter a page that allows you to decide on either redeeming the Platinum reward or the Gold reward. When I redeemed the Platinum reward, the bottom of the page told me I wasn't eligible.
Right now, the Club Nintendo website is working well again, and I was able to redeem the Platinum reward.

The same things happened to me earlier. I also managed to redeem in the end, so it was probably a bug they fixed during the day.

...I don't live in the US or Canada and thus can't join. I do have several codes for both the Japanese and North American Club Nintendo. Anyone wants those code from me?
(I have Kirby Ultra, Mario & Luigi 3, Picross 3D and Mario vs Donkey Kong 4 with me. I don't know if earlier games have expired.)
Re- EDIT - Kirby Ultra was NOT given. M&L3 was given to parrothead.

I don't know if the US Club Nintendo is different, but I gave up on our one after I realised that Nintendo were punishing me for saving my stars and waiting for something cool to appear in the catalogue by taking my saved up stars away. I only bother registering games now if they have something I want.

My family has too much work to do, they are unable to give me a ride to town. It also bothers them when I buy too many video games, especially my big sister.

Beware, I started doing the same thing, but once a game is out of production there's a good chance your stars code won't work any more. Yoshi's Island DS is already invalid
