I just went to the Kirby Wiki only to discover that there is the Japanese-only episode called "Take It Down! The Crustation Demon Beast Ebizou". It was simply based on the anime, Kirby: Right Back at Ya!. I prove it to you. It's real. Here's a video of it:

Ask us if we care. They banned you from Bombermanboard, so I hope you don't spam the hell out of NinDB lest you get banned from here.

Actually, I sorta-kinda-half care about this. I kinda liked the Kirby anime, and this is the first I've seen of a fully CGI episode.
Although, that's really all I have to say. Not sure why this needed it's own topic.

Crystaljetters, if you want to create a Kirby anime thread, either find one that already exists or create one and post all related posts in that one. Then anyone who is interested can post in there.
Do not create two at the same time. That's spamming the forums and you are already on watch as a potential spammer.

Forgetting the OP for a bit, I'm glad Nintendo hasn't let the Kirby anime fall into obscurity. It was a fun series that broke the tradition of video game shows sucking.
The games seem to be referencing the anime again too- Kirby in Epic Yarn can apparently only say "puyo!". Which is adorable.

The only part I liked about the anime was the fight scenes and transformation sequences, which were too short and too few and far between.
I also don't like how Kirby himself was basically protrayed as Pikachu 2.0, being a weaponized pet and all.

Wonder what kind of transformation that was...

Ugh, I always hated the Kirby anime (the original/JP version) for personal reasons, never saw the appeal of it like most other fans.
I like Sakurai, he has his good sides but the way he sees how Kirby (the anime, as well as his vision of how Kirby's personality and character should be in it)should be was not one of them IMO.

More focus was given to Kirby's personality and traits in the japanese version. It was pretty much glossed over in the dub, but in the original, we saw him struggle with being essentially premature. Kirby tried to learn to speak- but as far as I know was never fully successful. He even got a job at a bar. As a waiter, IIRC. And more focus was given to the Star Warriors too.
I liked the dub for what it was, but from what I hear, the original was significantly better.

That's a bit of a silly thing to think, provided that Kirby was created by Sakurai. He'd have quite the say in such a matter, so whatever he says, you'd pretty much have to take.

Be that as it may I still don't like it but I suppose it could have been worse. Kirby's personality might have been something like his rude attitude in Avalanche and his face expressions would be all "Amercian angry hardcore Kirby face boxarts" like. Although I can't help but find that thought amusing sometimes.
