Well, rumor is false then, sort of.
Here is Street Fighter x Tekken, never had much interest in either one of its characters (execpt for SF's Chun-Li, Cammy, Ibuki and Ryu) at least not in Tekken. Always hated that series, was never able to see the appeal of it.
Go ahead and discuss.

I'll wait 'til I see further proof before I start speculating. But if this is true, then it'd be pretty kickass.

If this rings true, I'm holding out for Klonoa, Taizo Hori and Gilgamesh on the Namco side and Arthur and Mike Haggar on the Capcom side. ;D

Boy Capcom sure loves cross-overs. This must the 12th something cross-over game they made.
If this is true then I guess there won't be a new Darkstalkers game... yet. Atleast some of those ghouls can make it on Capcom's side in these games.
Aside from Arthur and Haggar, one obscure character I'm holding out for is Hauzer from Red Earth. I thought he'd be a perfect fit as a giant fighter in Capcom vs Tatsunoko so I'm hoping he gets the cut this time.

Hmm. Taking it with a grain of salt for now, but it'll be interesting to see how it shapes up.

So apparently this was revealed to be two separate games; Street Fighter X Tekken, and Tekken X Street Fighter. Developed by Capcom and Namco, respectively. I've only seen the announcements on Twitter, so I dunno if there are any trailers yet.
This be the trailer.
I'm a bit disappointed, as I have absolutely no interest in the characters from Street Fighter or Tekken.

Ditto. Aside from Chun Li (for being, y'know, Chun Li,) there's no one in either series that particularly interests me.

Just Tekken and Street Fighter?
*sigh*
I hate Tekken. If it truly was Namco vs. Capcom, I would have been happy. I like a lot of Street Fighter's lineup, but I loathe the gameplay of Tekken. Bleh.

I effing love Tekken. The console controls of Tekken 6 were 50 times better than Street Fighter IV's in my opinion.
Also, you guys are all insane. Both series have fantastic characters.

I'm not saying they're not fantastic, I'm saying I haven't enough interest in them to determine if they are fantastic or not.

What I like better about Tekken is how every character has about 60 special techniques compared to SF's 8 or 2 that need some insane input to pull it off (walk 2 seconds backwards, spin the control stick twice and punch 3 times to use special X!). In Tekken you can still have fun just mashing buttons. Still I'll probably end up buying both eventually All I want from Tekken's side is Mokujin. Having a tree stump doing Zangief's suplexes will be hilarious Also some gameplay with the crowd going apeshit over minor things like Chun-li popping up.

It's going to be weird to A) simplify movesets from Tekken and B) diversify movesets from Street Fighter. Also, I wonder if both guys will have identical rosters? Probably not, since some characters work better in one format over the other.
Also, bit disappointed this is limited SF vs Tekken, though any starting point is a good, well, starting point. Kinda wanted Klonoa, Mega Man, Cassandra, and some others... Oh well.

Meh. Not a fan of either franchise, so there's my interest out the window.

I just noticed how insane Tekken characters are. Anyways, here is who I bet are gonna be in. Heroes: Ryu - Jin Kazama Rivals: Ken - Kazuya Villains: M Bison - Heihachi Badass females: Chun Li - Nina Williams Secondary badass females: Cammy - Anna Williams Musclemen: Zangief - One of the Jack robots Boxers: Balrog - Steve Cutesy girls: Sakura - Ling Xiaoyu Crazy: Dhalsim - Yoshimitsu Bruce Lee's: Fei Long - Marshall Law Crazy hair: Guile - Paul Phoenix

I heavily dislike the gameplay of Tekken. Never uttered a peek about their designs (which are fine). However, the last Tekken I played was Tag Tournament, and I'm sure it's improved, so I may give it a second chance. Never played SFIV, so I have nothing else to add there. Flip hit the reason why I wasn't impressed - Namco x Capcom would have been much more diversified. I've had my thrill of Street Fighter vs. "franchise here" twice already with X-Men Vs. SF and the original Capcom vs. SNK - I want to see the full richness of both companies compete, not just the leading fighting franchise. I wouldn't complain a bit if Tekken characters appeared in that line-up. But, since it's (mostly, I'm assuming) going to be only Tekken squaring off with Street Fighter, it doesn't really enthuse me. Not much I can do about it. *shrugs*
