It's not that obvious but it's sure the same fat & thin archetype in Mario and Luigi that is also in Captain Olimar and Louie. - Talon and Malon are named after Tarin and Marin from Link's Awakening (it's incomplete to call Malon and Malon the origin of later characters like Malo and Talo).
- The method of defeating the Pols Voice in Phantom Hourglass comes directly from how you defeat them in the original The Legend of Zelda with a Famicom controller.
- The Ocarina of Wind's tune is the same as the Recorder's from the original The Legend of Zelda. Its effect is more similar to the Flute's from A Link to the Past.
- Octoroks have appeared in all main Zelda games but Twilight Princess.

The Ocarina of Wind's tune is the same as the Recorder's from the original The Legend of Zelda. Its effect is more similar to the Flute's from A Link to the Past. Adding onto that, the Warp Whistle's tune that's heard when it's used in SMB3 comes from the Recorder in the first game.

Nobody gives a shit! This is retarded!
Haha but seriously...
-Chuchus are the only enemies in the Zelda series you needed to freeze/ turn to stone in order to solve a puzzles, as seen in Majora's Mask and Wind Waker.

BUMP! I just found out something that positively adds to the timeline theory that Minish Cap came first! This is Minister Potho He serves the Royal Family in Minish Cap and is Zelda's tutor. These are the original Royal Family servants as depicted in Wind Waker Notice how each member resembles a character in Tetra's pirate crew? This was deliberate to show that her pirates and Tetra herself were descendants or reincarnations from the Royal Family. See Potho in the painting? Notice how much he looks like Mako (the one with the glasses)? Judging by this fact, we can determine that Minish Cap came before Wind Waker, and in that aspect, before Ocarina of Time.

^ I wish that were conclusive enough... but then again there's also Tingle and his brothers, Mr. Left, the Oracles, and Sturgeon reappears named Sturgeon... Previous incarnations? Ancestors? People that live for centuries? Character recycling from the 2003-2005 period?

Remember how you couldn't leave Clock Town without a weapon in Majora's Mask? Remember what the guards say? " It Is dangerous outside the town walls, so I cannot allow a child to go alone." Bolding mine. I have no idea if this is intentional, but it stuck out to me.
