I can see why would you think staying this way is the right thing to do. Maybe it isn't the music length that I should talk about; rather, I'd say it's the part where I have to stare at a mostly-audio video (well, with muted gameplay and such) just to read the text that I feel uncomfortable with. Video, as a medium, isn't exactly the best way to convent chunks of text that shows up - in any speed or interval too, I'd say, since people have different reading speed and attention span. I myself, for example, prefer to have the text set aside to the comment section, read it, and just move to something else as nothing particularly interesting (it's not a TAS, not a longplay, and not even general gameplay video in full; just clips of gameplay videos without the sound effects present) is in the video part. Sorry for the confusion, I guess. Also, on the video itself (not its presentation): Not familiar with cartoons and such myself, and having the SFC as my prominent "childhood game system", I feel the opposite to most people - whenever someone plays certain classical pieces, I think Parodius. I see. But then this means you didn't really like CCD's videos too? Because I practically followed what he did in them. It's pretty similar. (-l3l-); Putting also text to comments also means to change the way I should do these music-history videos drastically and would sorta defeat the idea for them, because simplifying them would be make them unnecessary to watch (People go to Parodius Music-article at Wikipedia and do what you suggested. The thing is tho that soundtrack for Parodius is pretty much nowhere to be found and I luckily have copies for each of them, so I think it doubles as listening experience you can't necessarily get from anywhere else aside from finding the public domain soundtrack (and what comes to the harder-to-find tracks like japanese songs or Konami-songs, that's another issue.) About the gameplay footage thing, I had left only a screenshot at Kid Dracula's Theme-video due lack of gameplay footage, and to be honest, it felt pretty boring to look for me...

I'm not sure about CCD's videos - I think I've watched only very few of those, and I definitely didn't find the soundtrack ones interesting.
And yeah, Parodius music (and sometimes, the original as well) are kind of difficult to find. Nice work there. And I certainly am not suggesting you to switch to gameplay footage with full audio.
Let me describe my experience in an even more direct way: Great info there! But I have to stare at an essentially audio-only video for some minutes to read them all or else I have to interrupt the audio to scroll through the video? Not cool.
...And please keep doing those videos. I'm in no way suggesting I don't like them. It's just that the experience doesn't feel optimal to me.

Don't worry, I didn't really take it that way, I can see where you're coming from. Anyway, what ya say if I did this: I'd explain which songs I'm coverring at each part of video in the description (by showing the timelines coverring this part, etc) , also telling the tracks in advance in the description along the way? (-l.l-); Maybe that could help you get to the songs you want to listen and compare without having to skim throught the whole video at once. (-lvl-) I might also try to improve the timing for the text's so it won't get necessarily in the way of listening the audio (because it can distract you by waiting to read rest of the text), so you can concentrate more on listening and comparing songs without getting interfered by the text. I might find this a convenient system overall to create for other people too who might've the same preferences as you do. What you think? It might make the videos more easier to access for people like you. Edit: Done at the last video! Go to check it and tell me what you think.

New video again, this time coverring music from the Bunny Warehouse from Sexy Parodius.
For YL, I've kept on adding the links to particular parts of the video again (though I just dunno what to fill in meanwhile...)

Awesome. Nice find, and the presentation is very clear this time. The length feels optimal this time, but having an index at the comments section is always nice. Keep this on.

New video showcasing half of Twinbee's Weapon Set, which has been sitting in my desktop for perhaps one year and more for sake of laziness--- here it is:

That's pretty cool. The similarities have been noted before, but TwinBee's arms and legs really do make him seem like a lost relative of Opa-Opa from Fantasy Zone. Although TwinBee actually has a pilot, right?

A chance to show off my old art, you say? ;D

Opa-Opa always had wings and feet, although I believe in the first game, his feet only appeared if he was on the ground. After that, they were always visible.
I'd post my fan art of Opa here for comparison, but it'd look kinda bad next to Fry's.
