Spoilers for those of you haven't played Other M.
In a cut scene about half way through the game Samus and Anthony talk about a mission years ago when Samus was still a soldier in the army. In this scene, Samus is serving aboard a Galactic Federation Battleship named VIXIV. Obviously this is the same name as the players battle tank from X, a game that Sakamoto also worked on.
It's impossible to see in the movie, but when you unlock the concept art it's clearly visible on the side of the ship.

A screenshot of the concept art and anything from the scene will be very welcome. Or I'm playing through it, so I could just wait till I get there! Still, awesome find! Thanks Leon!

I've been scouring the net for pictures of the art gallery, but everything is just too damn blurry. When you unlock the gallery, it's in image #60. EDIT: Someone finally uploaded all the pictures on the web. The VIXIV

It's been a while, but I have something to add to this! A few weeks ago I was reading the fan translation of the official Metroid manga from 2002, and noticed that in Chapter 12, Adam Malkovich's battleship is referred to as the Vixin IV. After your cameo I didn't think this could be a coincidence, so I tracked down the same page in Japanese and sure enough... It's a translation error! The battleship's name is VIXIV IV, which means the first X cameo is actually in a manga Nevertheless, I will add it as an expansion to the Other M cameo... Including an explanation as to why the translation is in error... Bleh.

I had suspected that the ship in the manga was supposed to be the VIXIV, but I didn't want to start a fight with the Metroid people.
It's good to know that X is getting love.

I know what you mean. I was going to post somewhere to see if anyone could upload that page in a higher resolution... but I fear fanboys Hey, nobody's perfect. And it's a damn good translation effort all around, but I will nitpick where obscure videogame references are glossed over
