So, I finally caved and got Steam. And The Orange Box, despite already owning it on the 360.

Welcome to the awesome club, enjoy your bargains! Ohyeah, I still have 11 copies of Osmos to give away via Steam so if any of you are remotely interested in a free christmas gift just pm me. Or reply to this thread. Or just message me IN MY FACE via Steam since I always leave the damn thing on anyway. Come on, it's a fun little game. (for the uninformed: steam account is, surprise surprise, 'eight8bit')

Not sure where to put this, but it works here.. It's the Humble Indie Bundle 2, a pay what you want, DRM free bundle of Braid, Cortex Command, Machinarium, Osmos, and Revenge of the Titans. If you pay more than $7.77 (Or bought it before they offered this), you'll get the first Bundle, which includes World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru HD, Penumbra Overture and Samorost. All are Steam Compatible save for Cortex Command and Revenge of the Titans, and they will be added to your steam as soon as they are available. Well worht it, just for Machinarium and World of Goo.

Steam is reapeating a binch of sales from previous days today, with Super Meat Boy at like $3.75 or something (75% off again).
EDIT: Thanks for the gift of Osmos 8bit!

I'm Sock_fox on Steam, if anybody wants to get some TF2 on with me. (WARNING: I suck at it.)
I'll probably be combing this thread for usernames when I have more time.

Team Fortress and L4D are on a discount now, so I went and bought them via Steam Store. I'm going to be installing them once I get home... can't wait to play online.

I'm still downloading L4D2, then I'll download TF2. The new campaigns in L4D were pretty fun my account on steam is omegashadrio, and be warned: I suck at shooters, in general, but I still laugh my head off thanks to them...

I believe it! I'm already starting to feel like less of a burden on my team. Can't get the hang of that rocket jump, though. I just end up hurting myself and going nowhere.

One question: My cousin want's to buy two games off the online Steam store, but neither of his parents have access to a credit card. So I'm going to buy the games for him using my credit card. Of course, he's at his home while I'm at mine. He gave me his account so I'd buy the games for him. My question is: When I buy the games on my notebook using his account, when he logs into his account on his PC, should he be able to download his games?
I'm pretty sure he should be able to, but I still want to be sure. I hope the question is understandable.

Couldn't you just buy the games for him as gifts using your own account?

If you buy the games via his account, he'll be able to log onto his computer and download them no problem. Kirbychu is also right; you can buy them as a gift for him. It's a little easier to do the latter.

Thanks guys, I just wanted to get that straight. The guy has no games on his account, so I can't add him as a friend and he can't add me, which is why I have to buy these games for him. You guys seriously think I would have been dumb enough to not notice the whole "Purchase as a Gift" option when I bought my games?

You can also gift games to people by using their e-mail adress that's linked (or not yet linked) to a Steam account.
Strange that you cannot add people who are gameless though. Discrimination!!

Can't he just go to the "friends" tab on Stean and then click add a friend? But if that does'nt work then I just thought of a better idea, get him to download one of the games with a free demo so he will have a game (demo) in his steam account, it's at least worth trying. He could also try downloading Peggle Extreme, which isn't a demo but is free to all Steam users (It's that version of Peggle that has art and sound assests from HL2:Ep2, TF2 and Portal.)
