I just saw this on GoNintendo and I got to admit, I'm really interested in what they can do. I might be new to the Valve love train, but I'm confident that they'll come up with something awesome for the new controller and possibly L4D3 (if that ever gets made, I still feel that the two L4Ds are fresh).
I know this is a long shot, but I hope Nintendo takes up Valve's user created content policy. The Nintendo Community deserves to be part of the production, too!
semi-w00t for the day 3 items! Day 2 was lackluster (and Sniper and Demoman are my least favorite classes). Come on, gimme mah engie items, valve! Show that Texan some love.

Über update is über indeed!
Not a TF2 player myself, but that long-awaited movie? YESH! Come now, Thursday!
Valve games for Nintendo consoles? That sounds great! I don't know how's that going to work though... Valve games look to me that they're much better off on a computer, since this way you can freely tamper with whatever asset is there.

Another awesome Valve related post. A liveblog of Gabe Newell's speech at the "Games For Change festival's Games For Learning Institute's keynote address" (Which is where the above quote came from) kotaku.com/5814405/liveblogging-whatever-smart-stuff-gabe-newell-has-to-say-todayGo read it! Interesting points - Gabe tried his hand at WoW gold farming. - Had a whole bunch of kids have a field trip to Valve where they got to make games using the Hammer editor. - A Portal 2 physics school curriucum is being made for students or something. Eg the idea of learning/education via games.

Oh, so TF2 is free for the week too?
I'm getting it right now (it's still 10GB download though). Let's see how much can I make out of the game in the few remaining days. This is the first time I use any account-based gmaing platform (I always thought it's not worth the hassle).

Well, I finally got Johans into TF2 with this new Free stuff. Thing is, I tried adding him as a friend on Steam and it said he needed to have games on Steam, and he was sending me screen captures of his steam account with TF2 (he didn't have much time to really try much more). I had no idea why that was happening, but I guessed you guys did. His Steam Account is JohansNidorino.

Apparently Steam accounts without any bought stuff have less features, like adding friends, to stop people from registering a gazillion accounts and spamming random people. So yes, he has to spend a tiny sum of money atleast, HOWEVER I still have a bunch of giftable copies of some indie junk other people never bothered activating. I'll try throwing one Johans' way later, maybe it helps. Oh and I didn't notice this yesterday, better luck next time Shadrio Finally! After owning Orange Box on my PS3 for so long, I can finally partake in updates XD PS3 also has some Steam features now, right? If you can register the box with your steam account I'm sure you can get the whole prenium shazang without forking over extra dollars. I know you care!

However good their deals are, I simply can't play their games well enough (and therefore less as attracted to their games) to warrant me spending real money on it. Getting to play TF2 for free in the first place is really good enough.

Just added TV Eye and JN, how many new items has everyone got so far, thorugh what had to be dumb luck, I managed to 3 new item drops in a row (soilders horse whip, heavy's shotgun and spy's knife).
There also seems to be a lot of Heavies with Tomislav miniguns (which seem highly effective).

I bought some of the starter packs for 99cents each. But other than that I've found a TON of items. I even got the Halloween hat thanks to an achievement (dominate someone wearing one to get one of your own) XD
