No I mean we have one a Yoshi Egg and the other an Info Block. Those are both from Mario. It doesn't seem fair to the other series.

Well, then I think one of those items should be changed. Like, instead of an info block, use the record player from Donkey Kong Country or Dr. Kawashima, and instead of a Yoshi egg use a Togepi or Metroid egg.

There's not a huge problem using mostly Mario icons, as they are the most familiar and recognisable, and in most cases have been engineered to be instantly recognisable. Rather than trying to shoehorn in a handful of popular-ish series, I'd rather the icon was familiar or at least ideally suited for the situation regardless of the series. I mean, look at how long the series list is! There's bound to be something in there that's perfect for the job. Yoshi's egg is more familiar than, say, a Metroid egg or even many Pokémon eggs (although Togepi's is probably the most familiar of those). Besides, I've already made that one  Because the rest of the artwork is vector, the pixellated Mario head for cameos works surprisingly well for cameos, so I'm afraid that's also set in stone. Info Block is up for grabs, though... as I've put together the SMW and YI info blocks and I'm not fond of either. |
