gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=148050I looked around and saw that no one posted about this. Opinions? I think it'll be awesome if they went through with it. I'm guessing CAPCOM will dumb down some of it's characters if this game ever happens (Less violent RE and DE attacks and moves, less bewbs from SC and DS D= ). I'm also wondering if they would use the Smash Bros happens or Vs. engine if it happens.

Go the Street Fighter vs Tekken and Tekken vs Street Fighter route and have a game with each engine. And it would be absolutely glorious.
I do think a Nintendo vs Capcom will happen one day, but not any time even close to soon. Maybe the next home console?

Well we've seen Nintendo let Mario hang out with Sonic... in the most disappointing way ever.
So it is a possibility.

If this is true, and if they did it, it would be awesome.
Presumably, being Nintendo X Capcom rather than Nintendo VS. Capcom, I expect it'd be an adventure game of some kind rather than a side-on beat 'em up. I would personally prefer the latter.
And you just know the forum will erupt in "Takamaru in NXC!!" posts! Mostly courtesy of me! ;D

I think he's thinking of Namco X Capcom, which was a strategy RPG.

Could be fun to see this happening.
I wouldn't want it to be simply "Smash Bros. with Capcom characters". The Namco X Capcom approach would be just right for it.

Nintendo should collaborate with em in artwork as well. Just wish the combination will be something unique... The 2D-sprite fighter works for me. Smash Bros isn't also necessary here anymore. |
