Hmm... the Nintendogs thing is unusual and intriguing... and will no doubt be a pain in the ass for putting on the site Regardless, I think it's a shame that the built-in functions of the 3DS are more interesting than any of the launch software. Oh well.

Ha, Kirby doing a little rodeo. Also I didn't know Rythm Heaven's little jumping guy actually came from that Play Yan thing... Hard to keep up with Nintendo's heavy cameo habit

Looks like Mii's on the 3DS are able to wear Mario hats. (Image at 1:45)
In this next video (AR graffti), stamps of a red Pikmin and an NES sprite Mario (jumping) can be seen quickly at 1:31(located in lower right corner).

Can someone please enlighten me what this "AR" is? And what these cards are used for?

AR stands for augmented reality (wikipedia page)AR allows for someone to look at a real world enivironemnt (using whatever camera equipped device they have) and have virtual elements appear among it. The AR with the 3DS (currently) uses six cards bundled with the system (consisting of the Mario ? icon, and 5 character cards Mario, Samus, Pikmin, Kirby and Toon Link), which is currently used for some simple pack in games (demos really) with the system. It's more of a neat gimmick most people will probably play once and then only bring up to show your friends. But it does have good potential. Nintendogs+cats also has AR support to allow a dog to run around your desk or something (I'm not too sure what else it does for that game). Here footage of a target shooting game. Or making a Mii move around a table. Sony is probably the first to have used AR with gaming with EyeToy games such as Eye of Judgement and Eyepet and the PSP title Invisimals came bundled with it's own PSP camera. Nintendo is the first to have AR be a feature of the system from day 1 and is also viewable in 3D.

I was jsut going to post that same info after watching this Streetpass Quest/Puzzle video. (video seems to hint at puzzle pictures that are (spoiler) Pikmin d(on't know if 1 or 2?)and something SMG2 related. (end)

So, when the puzzles are completed, you unlock a 3D model of the picture, which were shown at E3 last year. www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2UTJ5rIeeAAlso, it would appear that you can unlock headgear for all the AR card characters.

Impressive house, with lots of nice Mario details (wallpaper, carpet and so on). Mario house appears after 5:02 for those that want to see it immediately.

I'm heard partially about the first one but all I heard was blowing/noise caused it to simply rotate, but the moving up and down is new though. Also the G&W visualisler being playable and the AR fishing CC cameo is also new. Also another article has confirmed that when using AR fishing with a green surface will cause Koopa Shells to rain down.
