You know, the development names of the systems that end up in the model numbers. Famicom is HVC, Nintendo 64 is NUS and so on. So here's a list of what I already know (thanks old NinDB), and those that I don't know yet. Since Nintendo didn't officially reveal what they are, it's time to guess! G&W = game dependent (Fire is RC-04, Mario Bros is MW-56...) FC = HVC (Home Video Computer) NES = NES GB = DMG (Dot Matrix Game) SFC = SHVC (Super Home Video Computer) SNES = SNS VB = VUE ( Virtual Utopia Experience) N64 = NUS (Nintendo Ultra 64) GBC = CGB (yeah, SO creative) GBA = AGB GC = DOL (Dolphin) Pokémon Mini = MIN GBA SP = AGS (ugh... Advance GB SP) DS = NTR (Nitro) GBM = OXY(gen) Wi-Fi Connector = WAP (WAP is no codename, it's just "Wireless Application Protocol") Wii = RVL (Revolution) What we don't know (= the newer ones) DS Lite = USG DSi = TWL (...Twilight?) DSi XL = UTL (...Ultra/Ultimate TWL?) 3DS = CTR Anyone creative enough to give them a guess?

According to rumors and unnamed sources, the 3DS's codename may have been "Century". ( Source)
