It's true. And the fact that one of Dragon's weakness is Dragon and yet there was only one move at the time!

They've kinda already established that they want each generation to be completely different from each other in their own ways. They're all mixed bags - Some good 'mons and some bad in each. Furthermore, if there's something that the later generations do get better at, it's type combos. I hated in Gen 1 how Grass always had Poison attached. Rock always with Ground, too few Ice types, etc. Gen 2 and onwards use them a lot more interestingly and effectively.THIS. It also made the standard poison types feel useless against the grass/posion types as well, I wish they could have introuced a sub type system into pokemon to accomadate for this. (And all the other points I agree with as well) Also with anyone hating Garbodor and it's line, does anyone have dislike towards Grimer or Muk? (What are they tar, sewage, pollution? Or a combo of all free?) Eggxcute is the only real Pokemon I can think of disliking, it just seemed bizarre how a bunch of eggs evolve into a coconut tree. If they were seeds or coconuts, it would make more sense.

It's probably because it's based on this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JinmenjuI actually like Exeggcute. The fact that they are all psychically bonded as one mind makes them one Pokemon with six bodies.

I can't say many designs piss me off, really. As evidence of how debatable this topic is, the only Gen 3 design that bugs me is Sceptile, and that's only because I can't figure out how the fuck he a) comes from Grovyle (who is way more bad-ass,) and b) moves around with that tail-bush thing. Gen 4 is when the designs got awful for me. It was mostly the evos (Rhyperior, Togekiss, Magmortar, etc.) and legends that got me (Shaymin, Arceus, Manaphy, and Phione notwithstanding.) Then in Gen 5? The problems of these two groups of Pokemon from Gen 4 started affecting EVERYONE. I was going to start with Tepig. I ended up with Quetzal, my Snivy, because Serperior was the only final evo I liked. Oddly, I'm not bothered by the Weather Djinn, though. I mean, yeah, "Derp, we're recolors of each other," but they're at least individual enough to have seperate types, unlike some Pokemon.

Yeah I'm really pissed about the fact that there are TWO legendary trios now! (besides the mascot trio) I would have been happy with just the Musketeer trio but they had to add another.
The Musketeer Trio is really awesome by the way. Finally, because the past two generations with the Regis and the Lake Spirits really sucked.
Anyway I think I love Dwebble. I just love it's simple cute design.

I hated in Gen 1 how Grass always had Poison attached. Rock always with Ground, too few Ice types, etc. Gen 2 and onwards use them a lot more interestingly and effectively. Not always. Grass also had Tangela and Exeggcute (the latter was a mainstay on my RGB team) and rock also had Omastar, Kabutops and Aerodactyl (I went for Rhydon myself...). Gen I had a lot of balancing issues, with the dominance of Psychics being the biggest. Psychic was essentially immune to everything as it was weak to only one type: Bug. - There were only three damage dealing Bug moves in the game: Leech Life, Pin Missile and Twineedle. - Out of all the Pokemon that learned them, only two weren't part Poison, and therefore weak to Psychic attacks: Parasect and Jolteon. - Parasect learned Leech Life, which had the outstanding Power of 20, but gained STAB. - Jolteon learned Pin Missile which had a Power of 14, but it could hit 2-5 times per turn, for a small chance of a combined power of 70. Unfortunately, Jolteon's Attack stat was awful. and it gained no STAB. - Most Psychic types had a huge speed and Special Attack, meaning they could wipe out most things before they could set up. Suffice to say, Psychic-led teams led the way. Gen 2 corrected many of these issues by making Psychic weak to Ghost and Dark, introducing evolutions of some Poison types that had a better chance of survival, and many more bug types and stronger bug attacks. Later generations have introduced increasingly complicated moves to balance the game further. Dragon wasn't quite so bad. It was weak to Dragon and Ice. There was only one Dragon attack, and it dealt fixed damage, but the majority of Water, Psychic, Ice and Normal types (plus a few others) could learn Ice Beam and Blizzard from TMs. The fact Dragonite was 4x weak to Ice as well meant I saw some suggestions that it made just as much sense to prevent Dragonair from evolving, as its stats were pretty good.
