What is the difference between a Nintendo DS and Nintendo Lite? Need some game players help here! My daughter is turning 8ys.old and has been begging for a Nintendo DS. She said she wanted a pink one. So I looked at it today and it says it's a Nintendo DS Lite. I'm sure she does not know there is a difference she just likes the color pink! So help me out here please. What's the difference? Is one better than the other? Would both suit her age? Thank you for your help! ------------------------ PS3 controllerXbox 360 ControllerR4 Card 3DS

The original model Nintendo DS was chunky, grey and pretty ugly. Nintendo later released a smaller model with a clearer screen and better battery life called the Nintendo DS Lite.
There's no difference in games or function, and the Lite is definitely better in every way.
The Nintendo DSi was the third generation, and DSi XL the fourth. However, these did have some differences in software (ability to download DSiWare games, no Game Boy Advance support).
But DS Lite should be absolutely fine.

... Look at the signature there. This doesn't look like a legit account/question IMO.

Yeah, this is a spammer. They've done the same thing at the HG101 boards.

Shame to let a good spam thread go to waste.
