so, like, your favourite user on this whole forum (that would be me) is both drunk and on holiday in hawaii, so i've missed the whole E3 shabang - so I would like to have a summary of what is going on. i've seen smash bros was announced for both 3ds and wiiU (therefore i have seen the wiiU controller), and I have seen the new new lego city stories (oh my god yes. lego gta, where have you been all my life?) but otherwise i need you guys to work on an e3 summary for me as iahve seen nothing. so get to it. not just old ninty but ms and sony as well. get on it.
ps. i love you guys

The cliffnotes version:
- Microsoft jerked off to the Kinect some more, but announced two new Halo games: a remake of the first, and Halo 4. Halo 1 Redux is based on the Halo Reach engine.
- Sony was boring. Announced the PS Vita, two people cared.
- Nintendo showcased a ton of 3DS games, including Luigi's Mansion 2, Mario Kart 3DS, Super Mario 3DS, Kid Icarus and a few others. They also showed off the WiiU, which has a controller that looks more awkward to handle than the PS1's. Excessive reliance on wagglefest-styled gimmicky bullshit. Also, SSB4 for the 3DS and WiiU.

I hate Sony and even I say the Vita is impressive.
But hot damn, they better back that beast up with a good battery.

This video should do.
And the PS Vita was impressive, I'm wondering what the full difference is between the WiFi and 3G versions is.

The PSV looks great for people who're fans of the games being released on it, and I understand there are some great ones coming. It has a touch screen, it has a camera, for an extra fee you can turn it into a phone (I think?), and it's got... touch pads on the back? I'm going to need somebody to explain that one to me, actually. I missed a proper explanation of them. In some of the demos I saw people were raving about how amazing that was, but I couldn't see how it was functionally any different from shoulder buttons.
I didn't see a whole lot of waggle going on on the Wii U. In fact, I didn't see any. All the gimmicky stuff was touch-screen oriented DS-style stuff, which was never too gimmicky for me. You can turn off the TV and keep playing on the Wii U controller's screen, which I think is the thing I'm most excited about. I've always wanted to be able to keep playing while my girlfriend watches TV.

For the Nintendo gubbins, there's this site which has some lovely new E3 content. I believe it's called NinDB
