Picture Lives! is loosely based on Super Mario Bros., with similar bricks, coins, background scenery and fruit on bushes. Also, the creature creation interface is based on the Mii creator.

One of the accessories you can unlock for your formees is the "comfy hat", which resembles a Mario cap (but with an 'A' written on it).

edit1: You can unlock hills with eyes as customisable scenery in the meadow area, a possible reference to such scenery in the Mario series.

An Imagineer at heart but also programmer/scientist practically. I decided to focus on the endless task of my own closed wiki project SanrioWiki.com instead for the company behind Hello Kitty et. al many others but on odd occasions not just a generic licensing company like when they did Sirius and the Fire Child film. Everything is notable even if just a minor Hello Kitty card xD for the sweet madness of it ^^
