On orders from Hauptmann Fry himself, here is a topic about Mario Party cameos. There is bound to be some more in this series that hasn't been touched on yet. The one I know of and what spawned this thread if Face Lift, which is a minigame in the first two games that is pretty much the Mario Face from 64 as a minigame. The series is in many respects a repository for things from the main or other side series. See: The first reappearance of the dolphins from SMW in the first time in a decade in MP4, or the pirate shy guys and spear guys from MP1. Feel free to suggest extreme cases like these, even if they don't end up counting. Fry Edit: Fixed the topic title.

Yes, due to the surprising LACK of cameos in Mario Party, I would like to hear about all the in-series cameos. Try to keep it reasonable... A stage based on Luigi's Mansion or Super Mario Sunshine may be worthy of mention, for example, but a stage featuring Princess Peach's Castle wouldn't (as that's just a general Mario series location rather than a specific location from a particular game). Eh, it's complicated. Post whatever and I'll sift through it

In Mario Party 1: Mario's Rainbow Castle board is themed after Super Mario 64 levels such as Rainbow Ride, Tower of the Wing Cap and Wing Mario Over the Rainbow. In the title screen corresponding this board, Mario is seen flying with a Wing Cap. Musically, some cool detail that I remember is that certain mini-games featured songs from Super Mario Bros. 3 maps. - Platform Peril: The Sky / Sky Land (ground section)
- Pedal Power, Ghost Guess: Iced Land / Ice Land
- Skateboard Scamper: Bowser's Castle / Castle of Koopa / Dark Land
And Yoshi still uses his original whistle voice ;D In Mario Party 5: A toy similar to Mecha Bowser from Super Mario Sunshine is in the Toy Dream board.

Wario's Battle Canyon from the first game is a pretty obvious nod to Bob-Omb Battlefield. At least, to me. Mario Party 9 seems to have several minigames directly indicative of main games: A Bowser Jr. minigame that draws from NSMBW. More NSMBW influence. This looks like something from Dusty Dune Galaxy to me. Might just be me though. The minigame Jump, Man in its entirety.

Very, very, teeny tiny Gamecube in the bottom left corner of E. Gadd's Garage from MP6.

LOL, Mario Pary. The spelling mistake of the toppic topic name really sticks out to me.
Wait, what? I have Party 6, but I've never seen that particular map... time to launch that game again.
EDIT - Oh, I have a typo in this very post too.

Good one You know why? Because it doesn't even fall into the "in-series" category. I'm glad this thread was made. I almost want to play Mario Party with my bro this weekend for old times' sake.

A few from Mario Party Advance. The duel minigame Slammer is pretty much Judge from Game & Watch. The Poochy Pal might count. Poochy hasn't appeared since Yoshi's Story, and the game is specifically designed to look like Yoshi's Story. Honestly, a lot of weird, obscure characters are in this game. The Huffin Puffins, Naval Piranha, SMW Goombas, the Dolphins form SMW, Bob-Omb Buddies, Petal Guys, Hoot the owl from SM64. It's really strange that they appeared in this game of all games.

Funny how some of the most overlooked or hated Mario games contain the most fanservice.
