I think this game deserves its own thread. It's already out in Europe, and scheduled for release in North America on September 27. With so many "Japanese" games seemingly being passed over for North America these days, this is one we'll actually be able to get our paws on! (Thanks, Xseed!) New trailer for the North America version:

Gamespot's Daily Demo covers Solatorobo with Xseed's Jessica Chavez. Towards the end, she reveals that all first-run copies of the game in North America will include the soundtrack CD! Be sure to get it early.

Upon news that the North American version has gone gold, XSEED's Jessica Chavez has started a developer's blog for Solatorobo over at 1UP.com. Additionally, Jeremy Parish has put up an article about the game's predecessor, Tail Concerto. Both articles are well-wroth reading. No one else is interested in this game? No one in Europe picked it up?

No one else is interested in this game? No one in Europe picked it up? Sorry, I'm not a furry. /troll I dunno, game looks interesting enough. I will probably pick it up at some point. 'tis simply not very high on my list right now.

I'm going to try picking it up when it launches. I rarely do that these days, but I want to suppose XSEED's efforts in localizing this and show there is a market for games like this.

Looks like it's got a really convoluted/generic story to it...

According to the latest developer's blog, all of the extra downloadable quests that were available for the Japanese and European versions will be included in the North American version out-of-the-box! (Which is awesome, because I don't have a DSi.) Oh, yeah, and the official North American site is online: www.solatorobo.com

I'm happy to hear the NA version has the DLC included, my DS can't seem to connect to my router for some reason.
I'll probably import it if possible, because NoE still hasn't released their version down here yet (even though they said they would).
EDIT: after reading the dev diary, you really did need a DSi for the DLC? WTF?

Bump! According to Siliconera, Namco Bandai has trademarked "Little Tail Story" and "dog and cat in an RPG." Note that the series that both Tail Concert and Solatorobo belong to is officially called "Little Tail Bronx." Also note that CyberConnect2's Hiroshi Matsuyama mentioned over a year ago that he was working on a sequel to Solatorobo. Sounds like something is cooking. I bring it up because, coincidentally, I started messing around with Solatorobo again a few days ago to try to 100% my save file, and I was wondering if the series would continue. How timely!

According to OpRainfall, Dog and Cat in an RPG: Little Tail Story has been officially announced for... wait for it... iOS and Android devices. Looks cute, but I doubt I'll ever play it. Still, I'm glad CyberConnect2 is able to keep the series alive. I'm also glad Nintendo still refuses to jump on the mobile bandwagon.
