Nintendo Direct is, simply speaking, Iwata speaking to the audience online:

As an online video that is not live, you are free to watch it at anytime. Today's Nintendo Direct showed:
- 3D Camera gets movie and stop motion functionality
- StreetPass Mii Plaza: new pics including Donkey Kong Country Returns (what, I haven't even finished the first 7...) and Find Mii 2
- Mario Kart 7 with wireless play, "Mario Kart Channel" (an in-game feature for receiving StreetPass info and arranging online matches), daily ghost data and the ability to race with 7 of them at a time, communities (online groups)
- Lots of download software including ThruSpace for 3DS, an exchange diary software, and The Rolling Western
- 3rd party retail software: Fab Style, Kingdom Hearts 3D, new Harvest Moon, Rune Factory 4
- Featured in video: Lost Heroes, a dungeon RPG crossover between Ultraman, Kamen Rider and Gundam; Iwata noted these series had their big time in Super Famicom for some reason
- Iwata then goes to show, one by one in date order, 3DS and Wii software to be sold between November and January
- Super Mario 3D Land sports a blue case, while Mario Kart 7 has a red case
- New Nintendo-published Wii game in January, Kiki Trick ("Kiki" means "to listen"), persumably an audio-based game
- The JP version of RE Revelations is to be sold at the end of January
- Nintendo Club (JP) holds a campaign where participants are to register two 3DS games, and 3000 winners get to have 3DS units themed after Mario, Peach or Super Mushroom
- Any participant of the above campaign can get the not-for-sale 3D Classics Kid Icarus
- Video concludes with Monster Hunter 3G trailer
