Damn, I didn't even have to click the link to know what you were talking about. I tried it once in Time Trials to see how easy it was to do, and it's damn easy. But now I have tainted my game file, since I wanted to know by how much you'd beat a righteous person T-T I think it goes without saying that none of us will ever use it if we EVER have a forumwide tournament *uses Glare*.
Which reminds me, now that Jesusday has passed and some of y'all bought the game, maybe we ought to have a tournament soon, maybe a new years day tourney.

I used that trick in Time Trial, making it the only instance of which I can beat the expert Staff Ghost.
Don't know about trying that online. It sounds risky - you're not guaranteed to be able to prefer that trick without a Mushroom.

A'ight, I'm in the group. When do you guys wanna set up a tournament or something like that? I'm usually good on weekdays...
And Maka Wuhu...I HATE playing online in Maka Wuhu. It's not...freaking...fair. Someone sent Nintendo a message and they replied stating that they acknowledge the glitch, but don't plan on updating the game because it would leave people who already own it with an unfair advantage...

Personally, I don't think the glitch is really that much of a big deal. Not that it's unimportant, but this issue is not unique at all. Previous experience with Brawl had me simply concluded that online play of Nintendo games with random players should be avoided altogether. Mario Kart Wii has several tricks that allows much shorter time than intended too, The only thing with Mario Kart 7 is that one such shortcut is far easier to perform than the others.
With Brawl and Mario Kart Wii before it, Mario Kart 7 isn't especially bad, I'd say. And I'd just stick to the "if it's in the game, it's legitimate" side. Not that I'd do that if whatever group I play in explicitly ban it.

Sucks about the connection error. It was Mario. After were were lightning-bolted and grew back, he stayed small and just...stopped...then connection error.

I've been wondering if it is even possible to set up matches with individuals without creating a comunity specifically for that purpose. It did appear to me that joining a friend online does not guarantee you will stay with that friend.
That said, I still do wonder if a NinDB-wide race is going to happen soon.

Actually, I tried to join you in a race before ours, but I got kicked out and then saw that you weren't online. Later, I logged into a race of my own, and then saw you join. After that race, didn't see you name pop up, so I figured it knocked you out. And of our match, I just remember powersliding into you once. I had just got an item and was hoping to hit you with a shell, but instead I got a mushroom. Eh, more speed equals more power in that powerslide. I hope I knocked you off the map  |
