I've been thinking about if there is any way to obtain pre-completed save data for some games. Ones that can be directly copied to storage media and used (in other words, emulator-generated versions probably won't work). The GBA VC games for example, since I've beaten them all already, I'd want to see the VC version completed as well, especially for FE8, which features extra class change branches that is only accessible from the third play onwards (as it requires both stories beaten once). And it would be inconvenient to have to sart all over. I heard that the NES save files aren't interchangeable between Wii and 3DS either.

Gamefaqs is where I get all my save files.

Looks like I can't do what I want to then. I found 192KB, 512KB and 1MB save files, but the size of the save files of most GBA games is 64KB. Upon opening the 3DS and emulator saves, I see that the "normal" saves are basically compressed, then put into the 192KB file, following the header and followed by zeroes.
With no knowledge of the exact compression algorithm used, apparently I cannot copy save files in this manner. I wonder if people will be putting 3DS specific save files.
