I am about to work on the DSiWare cameos. Some of these are on the site, most are not yet. One or two were newly discovered while I was working on the section.
Let me know if there's anything missing!
A Kappa's Trail
Mother 3 Title Screen Characters
On the title screen, swim over to the flashing fish and the kappa will eat them. If you eat enough his stomach will start to buldge. Swim around a while and eat a red fish. Do this and new fish and plant life will appear on the title screen, and what appears depends on how bulgy the kappa's stomach is.
You can see various things from Mother 3, including a Pigmask with some red seaweed on top, Ocho the Octopus and the Oxygen Machines.

Secret Costumes
On the Start screen (title screen?), head over to the Clam and it will sometimes transform you into a different character. You can become Putty from Magical Vacation, a Pigmask from Mother 3, or Captain Rainbow.
