Haha, that's pretty awesome! It's not the exact sprites of course, which would make it a definite cameo, but I might add it for sheer Easter Egg value. No way anyone could have seen that on the original N64 "mud" resolution

320*240 and the original N64 game helpfully blurs things out (to make the whole 320*240 thing less visible), so it's not surprising for this Easter Egg to hide so well from most players.

Along those lines, there is the "L is Real 2401" text which is actually written in Hylian and was previously used in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Thanks to Hyrule Hystoria, there is now a guide to translating Hylian language from Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess into English. Apparently, there is a high-resolution version of the text in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. I was wondering whether anyone knows what it actually says? I ask because there's some interesting material here. e.g. the official artwork for the Dungeon Map says "Nintendo Head Office". Edit: Sorry, I didn't realize the text actually said in the original Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time actually said "Eternal Star" [?]

Also, there isn't a high resolution version of the text in OoT:3D. It's been totally replaced by a different plinth. It was the one thing I was hoping was much more clear to put an end to the dispute once and for all.
