I admit we all saw it but well, since no one else said it, (and since Nintendo is publishing), there's a Mario warp pipe (with sound effect) at the end of the trailer. And while not really a cameo as such, but a mythology gag for LEGO fans, the fictional LEGO fuel known as Octan* has a billboard in this footage. (around 3:30) * I would have colour the word Octan like that but I think the hyperlink "blue" would have removed it.

There seemed to be quite a few cameos in the games shown at E3. There was of course the Mega Mushroom in Tekken Tag as well. Nintendo's whoring out Mario again!

Is it just me, or do I hear the "Piece of Heart" Fanfare at around 1:35 in the first video, in the Morpheus Battle scene?

Not really a game cameo and can't really be verified until the game comes out . . . but I heard from somewhere that some future LEGO City sets might be appear in the game, but it also appears that the main character of LCS (Chase McCain) will be appearing in this set.  |

Vague Nintendo references, not really confirmable but still interesting, and worth discussing. Chicken gliding akin to OoT is in the game. (at 0:15) Has been shown in previous videos.  The Jethro Hayes logo seems an upside down version of the Zelda family crest. (The chicken gliding power is also activated with the "farmer" disguise, so it's most likely gained at the farm) And in awesome LEGO history related cameos, there is a mount rushmore parody with heads consisting of (spoiler?) Classic LEGO Space, Pirate, Knight and Cowboy (spoiler end) |
