us.akinator.com/Have any of you guys heard of this? You can name any character from a videogame, TV show, cartoon, comic, or movie and he will eventually guess it. He even guessed Link's Uncle from A Link to the Past and apparently, 237 other people tried that one on him. The furthest I got to stumping him was Tawna Bandicoot, but even she was used over 150 times. It's crazy...I'm trying to think of someone reeeeally obscure...

Stumped it on my first try. I was thinking of the monkey from chapter 3 in Zoda's Revenge: Star Tropics II, the one who makes you go thru that maze. Maybe that's cheating, as the character doesn't have a name, IIRC. Still, it seemed to be on the right track at first. Its first guess was Donkey Kong. Then Lanky Kong. Finally, it went off the rails completely and guessed the dog from Duck Hunt, even after I confirmed that the character was a monkey. (Come to think of it, the dog from Duck Hunt doesn't have a name either, so maybe I wasn't cheating after all. ) I bet Parrothead would be great at this game.

I decided to use my own traits except as a cartoon... First guess was Alfred E Neuman (No.) Second was Carl Weezer (Really? WHY?!) Third was Ed from Ed, Edd, n Eddy (THIS DOESN'T COMPUTE) Final guess was Trent Lane from Daria. That's more like it.

I've stumped him a few times, but the one that sticks out the most in my mind was Bat-Ape.

Managed to stump it with Shulk from Xenoblade. (played more than 200 times) (it thought Sora from Kingdom Hearts)
And with Zael from The Last Story (played 42 times) (It thought some guy named Randi from Secret of Mana).

OK, I started with Isaac and it guessed after the second batch of questions. Then I tried Ristar and it STILL guessed after the second batch of questions... But I finally managed to defeat it! I went for Artie! The strongest man... in the world!

First try, he figured my Donkey Kong out. Second try, he couldn't figure it out. Funny thing is, he guessed it was a she, that she was divine, then went through, quote, America, Dublin, Greece, Egypt, and India, and had no idea where she came from. The correct answer would be "Amaterasu." Third try, I went with Birdo. He managed to guess. Probably didn't help that I said "I don't know" to "Is your character a female?" Fourth try, my idea was Athena, Greek goddess of wisdom. First guess, Selene, the chick from...I wanna say Underworld? The movie? Second guess was right Fifth try: Well, one problem I noticed: Is your character a male? Yes. Several questions later: Is your character a lesbian? ...Guys...can't be lesbians...
Anyways, I was thinking Karkat Vantas for character five. His guess was Pantskat. I wasn't sure how to call it, being that they're the same character but he should by rights have Karkat without pants, so I tried again and got it.
Trying a sixth time with Tingle. First guess: Ness. Second guess: Tingle.
I'll say, so far I'm impressed. But let's see how well he does against the obscurity I can imagine.
Seventh time is Swanky Kong. First guess: The Chunky Monkey himself, Chunky Kong. Wrong-o. Second guess: DK. Again, wrong. Third try: Gongon, from Super Monkey Ball. And he lost.
WOOT!

It got me surprised in my first try when he guessed Cave Story's Curly Brace correctly. Second try, had Sue Sakamoto in mind, he guessed Star Fox's Krystal first. Oops. Had to supply more answers to get that right. Third try. Paris from Fire Emblem 13. He gave me FE9's Ike. Try again.... Oops, got Zihark. Turns out the character isn't in their database yet. (Also, the website's code is written in French. Interesting.) Fourth try. I was thinking of the female lead in the Hostility UF series (FPS made with freaking Flash 4 by a Taiwanese artist), and I got... Metal Slug's Eri. My conclusion's that Akinator's reach to obscurity doesn't reach... me. Heh. He also doesn't recognise characters in future games. Is your character a male? Yes. Several questions later: Is your character a lesbian? You should say yes to both and see what will happen.

Thinking back, I really should have.
EDIT: Just tried conflicting answers again. I was thinking Tavros Nitram when he asked me if my character was a female. I said no, but then, way the hell later, he asked me "Is your character a woman?" I therefore decided to test conflicting answers and said "Yes." He then immediately afterwards asked "Is your character male?" Yes. I think he just kinda over-rides an answer if it doesn't make sense with new information.
And yes, he caught Tavros.

I caught it out with Wrinkly Kong. Second guess was close with Candy Kong, but turns out Wrinkly wasn't in the database. SCORE!
