Like many other Nintendo systems before it, Wii has got the "minified old system" treatment. Behold: the Canadian Wii Mini! According to the press release,it's a system that focuses on games and has no Internet connection capability. It's very old-fashioned design-wise too. Don't know if it's just me, but the whole thing yells "Famicom" for me.

Yeah, that looks awesome in terms of design. It also fills the same sort of niche as the top loading NES and SNES, albeit region locked.
In terms of function, it sounds interesting. I actually have some friends that never got Wiis that are interested in this, so it's doing its job.

I guess Virtual Console and WiiWare are out of the question for this thing. After all, it's not the size of your Wii that matters. It's what you can do with it that counts.
