8bit, I visited your dream town... it looks neat with the brick road. I noticed you also have three houses and I met one villager who said she was a storage servant or something... I assume you are using her house to store your stuff.
I checked out your public works projects and measured them. I also measured projects in other dream towns. I am land-surveying the potential camping grounds in my town and placing patterns on the ground... spaces with beetle patterns meant I cannot build my campsite while standing on those spaces... spaces with rose patterns meant I can while standing on those spaces. I haven't built my campsite yet. I am still figuring out where other projects may be placed at the premises... envisioning the layout of the camping grounds, so to speak.
I only have one Perfect Apple that I haven't planted yet (still landscaping)... but if you don't have some of Redd's firworks prizes (Boxed Figurine, Love Tester, Lovely Phone, Miniature Car, Ten Billion Barrel, Ultra Hand, Ultra Machine, Ultra Scope), I would be willing to trade my extra copies of some of those prizes for your peaches and cherries.
EDIT: I went to the 3DS Friend Codes thread here and added you. My Mii's name is Garee Ya.

Yeah, there's only so many rare items/bushes you can store before your storage explodes. Was thinking to turn the other 2 housses into a library and restaurant of some sort, but expanding my own house takes long enough at the moment.
I've been throwing around blueprint tiles to help measure all my future buildings too. It's a real pain that there needs to be atleast 2 free tiles between different public works/buildings. Can't even place a streetlight close to my totally romantic bench! Just 1 tile when it comes to rocks and lakes fortunately.
Nah, I'm good on the firework goodies front. You can just come by and take the cherries and peaches. Also you should really plant that P.Apple somewhere right away, even if temporary as they're really easy money. They sell for 600 a piece in your town and 3000 in any other town that doesn't have apples as native fruits. Replant them a bunch of times till you get a row of 12 or so, collect them for a few days and then hop to another town for an easy 200k.

I have been busy working on my park. Like you, I have been placing patterns on the ground all over town. Rose patterns represent bushes, beetle patterns represent grass or possible locations for public works projects, blue patterns represent designated locations for public works projects (replacing the beetle patterns). Now I have three designated areas that I call "Park", "Camp", "Orchard Road".
I have been drawing maps of these areas on graph paper. It's painstakingly accurate but it helps me get the whole picture. Each square represents a public works project, a bush, a flower, etc. I finally built a café, fully knowing that it's permanent, but I am satisfied with its location... I made sure it was placed in a very specific spot. Now it's a few squares east from the plaza tree... hell, the café's entrance aligned perfectly with the plaza tree's bench.
I also have plans for "Town" and "Coast" but I am not placing patterns there nor drawing maps for now.

Damn, that's hardcore. You better do that whole 'create new player' trick if you've got less than 9 villagers then as those morons will probably settle somewhere between 4 of your planned public works. And even then there's a chance a 10th villager will settle in without your approval if you happen to visit someone's village who has a villager moving out.
Though if you introduce yourself and completely ignore them from then on, they'll apparently move out within a week or so. Too bad I just gave my park squatting anteater some medicine. Oops.
Also if you still want to trade stuff we should probably determine a hour (+timezone). I always forget to open up my gates whenever I start it up, hurrr.

I already have 9 villagers in my town. I read that the 10th villager moves in if you build the campsite. That's why I haven't built the campsite yet. Plus I need villagers to approach me and suggest a fire pit, a hammock, and a picnic blanket to Isabelle. They are supposed to go in the "Camp" area. I originally had Kyle in my town but his house was in the way... And I wanted to build a third bridge near Kyle's house. So he was the first to move out of my town... And then Tammi moved in. Fortunately she moved in between Pinky's and Goldie's houses in the designated "Town" area. The designated "Camp" area is straight north from Tammi's house. Rowan also said he wanted to move but I told him to stay because I didn't want to risk anyone new moving in on any of my planned sites for public works projects. I live in Florida so it's Eastern Time Zone for me. I have not opened my gate. I still have my reservations about it. The gate... If I leave it open, only people with friend codes added to my 3DS can visit my town or is it open to everyone I don't know? By the way, my villagers are telling me they had dreams about Woowoop cutting down a lot of trees. You were cutting my trees in my dream town, were you?

It appears someone managed to create a town half submerged underwater . . . (address 3000-0845-9227) By the way, my villagers are telling me they had dreams about Woowoop cutting down a lot of trees. You were cutting my trees in my dream town, were you? I read from previews of the game that what you do in dream town doesn't affect the actual town, but if what you said is evidence that the "animal residents" know what is going on (in the dream version) that sounds like a pretty awesome minor "feedback" feature.

Hmm I don't remember being a tree chopping maniac in dream towns, but everybody in my town keeps yelling I'm a stump maker whenever I walk past so maybe gossip like that just spreads through the dream zone too.
Also the invite players feature is 3DS friends only when you choose 'faraway' (wifi). Only with local there's the danger of random strangers popping in, but then they'd have to be within a 20 meter range so you can just sock 'em in the face if they ruin your trees.
And am I glad when this month is finally over. Today there's the stupid bug catching contest, again. Followed by that worthless fireworks event tomorrow. Again. Two days where I can't build public works when I finally have some cash lying around, rraargh!

Two days where I can't build public works when I finally have some cash lying around, rraargh! Ugh, I know what you mean. Isabelle, the bug contest is long over. It's way past 6pm. Get back to work, bitch! Isabelle, the fireworks show won't start till 7pm. Why are you lollygagging at the plaza? Are you seriously telling me you are going to stand there in the hot sun all day long?
