GoNintendo had this clip posted today, which seems to be the first appearance of the P-Wing. We saw it first in SMB3, but apparently we have Hudson to thank for it!

Oh. For its technical inferiority (no scrolling and such), it's surprising to see Mario getting the ability of flight (ugh... air swim) there first.

Wow. That was unexpected. This is probably where they came up with Waluigi's air swim in Mario Power Tennis.

That doesn't look at all like a P Wing. It looks more like a generic wing. Wow. That was unexpected. This is probably where they came up with Waluigi's air swim in Mario Power Tennis. I sincerely doubt that. |
