JP release date: 3rd July (tentative)

You can share notes with friends, with limitations. You can create exhibitions that at most 20 people (creator included) can join, and these exhibitions will last for at most 15 days. You can hold at most 2 exhibitions simultaneously, though there is no global limitation on how many exhibitions do you make.

You can also submit, comment and download in a (paid) global gallery at a cost of "coins", which you'll have to buy along with the entrance ticket (which is 100 yen per 30 days). This community will be free for the first 30 days, as well as specified time (15:00~21:00) - their word, not mine. Don't know the extent of this "free" thing (free to view only, or free to upload as well?) or whether the specified time is applicable to all days or just specified ones.

I'd say all these limitations make it less appealing than Swapnote. At least you can still make animations to amuse yourself and a few others, I guess.

I can't draw, but I find it fun to use it to take pictures and add captions. I'll go ahead and set up a gellery for those of you who added my JP 3DS to see.

Flipnote 3D's been updated to version 1.1, with new functions like JPEG export (to make it possible to export to SNS), straight lines and squares (similar to the "hold Shift and draw" of some computer drawing software), brush-while-zoomed and better layer support. This update is required for using the World Gallery service.

nocturnal YL: A bit late, but I started Aiyoku no Eustia. I have nothing to say about the story yet because the demo lasted 6 hours and I haven't got past that. There's no save data transfer feature, fast-forwarding takes a while, and I stopped to read at some points. Nov 3, 2024 6:47:31 GMT -5

nocturnal YL: Aiyoku no Eustia is quite something. I thought I've somewhat hardened myself having gone through dark stories like Fire Emblem (Jugdral, Hoshido/Nohr, Fódlan) and Surge Concerto, but I'm still stunned. (Still doesn't beat real life, though.) Nov 10, 2024 15:17:23 GMT -5
