So there's been a few big ol' updates to StreetPass: Mii Plaza lately, and I'd quite like to update all the cameo information on them.
Puzzle Swap Nintendo recently added a bunch of puzzles, and players were given a panel from a random puzzle. Within a few days I think I'd managed to get at least one piece from each new puzzle. Here's my full list. Are there any I'm missing?: 1. Metroid: Other M 2. Mario & Bowser 3. Super Mario Galaxy 2 4. The Legend of Zelda 5. Kirby's Dream Land 6. Pikmin 7. New Super Mario Bros. Wii 8. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D 9. Star Fox 64 3D 10. Super Mario 3D Land 11. Mario Kart 7 12. Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise 13. Donkey Kong Country Returns 14. Pilotwings Resort 15. Kid Icarus Uprising 16. Fire Emblem: Awakening 17. Mario Tennis Open 18. Kirby's 20th Anniversary 19. New Super Mario Bros. 2 20. Kirby's Adventure Wii 21. Animal Crossing: New Leaf 22. Luigi's Mansion 2 23. Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger 24. Xenoblade Chronicles 25. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword 26. New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U 27. Heroines (looks like Pauline, Peach, Rosalina & Zelda)
Hats & Costumes With the new update, hats are now called costumes. There seems to be a load of new game-based ones, but I can't find a full list anywhere. I have "Rhythm Monkey" from Rhythm Heaven, which is awesome. I also have Link & Donkey Kong Outfits, which are the same as the hats, but full-body wear. On an non-cameo-related note, the T-Rex Hat is awesome!

27? Twenty- seven? Yep, you missed one, because you live in Europe. Between Kirby 20th and NSMB2, there should be a Dr Kawashima's Devilish Brain Training: Can You Stay Focused? ( Brain Age: Concentration Training) puzzle. Source: www45.atwiki.jp/miiplaza/pages/111.htmlAnd here's a list of hats that can be redeemed with ticket: www45.atwiki.jp/miiplaza/pages/161.htmlAnd a list of hats in general: www45.atwiki.jp/miiplaza/pages/69.htmlI don't have the paid games myself, so I can't show you what do they look like. Let me know if you need translation. There are 172 hats/costumes. For reference, there are currently 339 hats in TF2. You're halfway there, Nintendo! At times like this, various wiki sites set up by the netizens from 2ch will come in handy. Especially helpful if you need to find data for RPGs.

I've been sitting on a bunch of tickets in case awesome ones pop up (lovin' that C.Falcon helmet). According to that list no Earthbound hats sadly, but if Google translate's correct there's a King Dedede and Tingle(!) hat coming up.
Though I don't think Tingle'll be creepier than that devilish Dr. Kawashima hat

Just a minor note, but in North America the Heroines puzzle is called Nintendo Starlets. Also there is now a puzzle for Mario & Luigi 4.

Yes, I got the M&L4 puzzle today too. I also only had one Ticket and had to choose between Captain Falcon and Meta Knight hats! No fair!

Well now, I haven’t been here in a while, and I’m kinda surprised to see no one mentioned this before but, there are quite a few cameos in Flower Town / Mii Garden. So, here I am with screenshots to boot since Flower Town lets you take pictures of your garden. Flower Town / Mii Garden has jobs you can complete to earn certain rewards, such as flower pots. Some of these are based on different colored pipes from the Mario games. You get the green pipe from completing the job “Hospital Visit” (which is called “Get Well Soon” in Europe). You get the red pipe from completing the job “Bridal Bouquet.” You get the yellow pipe from completing the job “The Picky Patient.” And this, well, it might not actually be a Mario cameo, it might just be a brick block. But, well, you get the brick block (which is called the brick planter) by completing the job “The Fall Fragrance” (which is called “Fleeting Fragrance” in Europe). I guess you can decide if it counts or not. You can also unlock items to buy at Garden Grace that you can use to decorate your garden. Two of these are Mario cameos. You can get the Piranha Plant Topiary by completing the job “A Mysterious Job.” You can get the Yoshi Topiary by completing the job “The Final Job.” By the way, I have all of the Nintendo hats and costumes you can get. Flower Town allows you to take pictures of your Mii so if you want, I can get you screenshots of all the hats. Not the costumes though, Flower Town automatically takes off costumes.

New Streetpass games announced in last weeks Nintendo Direct, Streetpass Zombies and Streetpass fishing.
The Wii Remote can be swung around (and transforms) into a sword when swung in SP Zombies. (Is this the first time a Wii Remote has been used as a in game weapon?)
Cheep Cheep fish can be caught in SP Fishing.
They can be seen in this trailer at 0:24 and 1:21.

^ Do you think the boot in the fishing trailer could be a reference to Animal Crossing?

Not quite. Junk items like that always seem to be common in fishing games to show that you failed to get a bite.
