I just don't get why people have to behave in such an inappropriate manner. Would these people be ok with others treating their children and younger relatives in such a manner?

Okay, I have NEVER seen or heard anyone doing shit with Swapnote. And because a small minority does something to offend Nintendo, everyone gets punished? Can't there be a "REPORT" feature instead? Jesus Christ, Nintendo. At least give people a little warning.
Ugh, sorry. This just really pisses me off. I would've liked to at least send my friends a farewell note. And after all the effort I went to collecting all the stationary...

Some suspect it's a side effect from Pokémon. Lots of kids get their system with Swapnote preinstalled, then exchange friend codes for Pokémon, and suddenly everyone gets lots of strangers registered. Disaster ensued.
And there's also the thing about Nintendo being almost invincible in courts - not only do they sue everyone they hate, they're also adept to avoid being sued in the first place. Better close a perfectly fine service than having a few angry parents complaining and suing.
Some say they're about to push a 3DS version of Miiverse, which would overlap with some Swapnote uses anyway. Perfect excuse to close down a service.
^ (Above opinions not mine)
But yeah. Aren't there other things that are more dangerous than Swapnote? Wii U Chat, Miiverse personal messages...
