Mario has lost another life.

Bob Hoskins, who played Mario in the live-action Super Mario Bros movie, passed away yesterday from complications due to pneumonia. He was 71.

Despite that Hoskins, himself, considered the SMB movie one of the worse roles and experiences of his career, it's one of his more remembered roles (among gamers, anyway), along with playing Eddie Valiant from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Now, along with Lou Albano, both live-action Marios are now gone. RIP, Bob.

nocturnal YL: A bit late, but I started Aiyoku no Eustia. I have nothing to say about the story yet because the demo lasted 6 hours and I haven't got past that. There's no save data transfer feature, fast-forwarding takes a while, and I stopped to read at some points. Nov 3, 2024 6:47:31 GMT -5

nocturnal YL: Aiyoku no Eustia is quite something. I thought I've somewhat hardened myself having gone through dark stories like Fire Emblem (Jugdral, Hoshido/Nohr, Fódlan) and Surge Concerto, but I'm still stunned. (Still doesn't beat real life, though.) Nov 10, 2024 15:17:23 GMT -5
