I've just moved to a new town to live with my boyfriend. His brother gave me his old PS2, and I've never owned a main line Sony console before. It came with a lot of sports games, which I don't plan to use, but I got Burnout 3 and a Crash game out of it. I decided to look around the area for stores that sell games from discontinued consoles - in addition to searching around the Internet - and I found a place that I never thought I'd find.
It had all sorts of gaming stuff. I'm pretty sure it had just about every video game console made, including some of the oldest Atari consoles. In the back was an old N64 demo unit with a working game from some other console playing on it. I couldn't recognize it, but this definitely wasn't the last visit, so I'll get back on that. Needless to say, I found plenty of what I wanted! They even had a few of the backwards-compatible PS3 models, which I'll be saving up to go back for.
Do you guys know of any local stores like this? What I found was really impressive, and I was wondering if anyone else has any stories!

After starting studies in another town a new friend introduced me to some small, cranny store which was selling old school junk. NES, SNES, Gameboy, Genesis, I think there was even an Street Fighter arcade machine. The games were pretty expensively priced however and it didn't have any of the (NES) games I was looking for. Ebay's still my best friend when it comes to finding specific old games. I still roam the streets on our national holiday when everybody's allowed to have garage sales all over the place, trying to find some random old cartridges for super cheap. Nowadays I only really find PS2 and Xbox games, sadly.
