YES!
I love 8-Player Smash, and it's definitely great news that it's playable in more stages!

I like 8-Player Smash... but not in Classic Mode (the Wii U version).
Glad to know there will be more stages available for 8-Player Smash.

I don't understand why every stage isn't available for 8 players in Omega mode. They're all the same there, why is it restricted?

Let the CPUs beat each other so that I don't have to risk having powerful opponents 2-stock me. I don't understand why every stage isn't available for 8 players in Omega mode. They're all the same there, why is it restricted? If the changes in some stages show anything, it's that the backgrounds consume noticeable resources too. For this reason, Lylat Cruise, Smashville, Town and City (aka Smashville 2) all have their backgrounds simplified. Actually, I don't know why is Town and City available. Maybe it's just my patricular session, but I noticed some minor lags, which by the Smash team's standard is enough reason to not make it available.

When did this even apply itself into my Wii U? Hadn't used it since Wednesday, and 1.0.2 was my version as soon as I booted the game today. And my system was... away from a router since then

For this reason, Lylat Cruise, Smashville, Town and City (aka Smashville 2) all have their backgrounds simplified. Sure, but couldn't they just simplify all the backgrounds? I'm pretty sure the Kalos Pokémon League stage was available as an Omega stage, but with all the background Pokémon removed, for example. Seems like they could do that kinda stuff for all of them.

I just wish that they had different modes for the stages.
Default mode Omega mode (all stages become Final Destination) Alpha mode (all stages become Battlefield) Beta mode (all stages become Big Battlefield) Sigma mode (most, if not all, stage hazards are removed)
