I was pretty sure that they were going to localize this game after Bill Trinen retweeted the original debut. Regardless it's good to see confirmation.

Turns out that Fatal Frame is eShop-only in North America (and launches on October 22). Strange considering that even Devil's Third is getting a physical release (December 11), and NoA seemed to have even less confidence in that. Still, it's better than not getting it at all (or an "everywhere except North America" scenario), IMHO.
It is, at least, getting the free demo that includes the prologue, chapter 1 and part of chapter 2, and the price is slightly reduced at $49.99.

I half-expected that NoA would leave the voices in Japanese and only add English subtitles in order to reduce the cost of localization, but I guess that wouldn't have been very Nintendo-like.

Here's a trailer showing off new costumes for Samus's Zero Suit and Princess Zelda's Warriors dress.
Apparently, these aren't in the Japanese version. I assume they're replacing the extremely revealing underwear outfits that are too risque for not-Japan?

I do like these costumes, but I hope they weren't added for that reason. This is an M rated game, and I'm an adult; I don't need NoA to protect me from seeing digital women in lingerie.

I got the trail version, and I'll probably upgrade when I finish it. I feel kinda obligated to at this point, TBH, since I was among those asking NoA to localize it.
