They've finally done it, Sakurai and Nintendo have decided to take suggestion from the fans for potential DLC fighters. Go here to vote for who YOU want to see in the game. Earlier today I voted for Elma from the new Xenoblade. I think she has a cool design and would make a good companion for Samus & Shulk. |

I guess Sakurai and Nintendo ran out of popular characters from the Melee and Brawl Japanese polls... and they need our help determine which popular characters to add in SSB5 and SSB6.  |

I wonder if I can vote once in each language? Among the characters with potential to appear in Smash, I want to see Lucina Robin Bowser Jr... Ugh, someone from Golden Sun, I guess. Or maybe the Ice Climbers, but I doubt they want to break the 3DS/Wii U parity, and 8-Player Smash makes it impossible for Wii U too.
Guess I'd vote for the other Robin, after all.
To be honest, I want to see things other than fighters. The stage lineup, especially on 3DS, needs some serious revamping.

I voted for Mike Jones from StarTropics and Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II. He is one of the most well-known American Nintendo characters. He even has a great arsenal of weapons and magic moves. Even though his origin looks like a clone of Zelda (or Dragon Slayer and Hydlide for home computers), it also has elements of Dragon Quest for the overworld parts. He might be great with Little Mac as the Takeda Duo. |

I'm convinced that everyone is going to vote for random, obscure characters, and you know what that means: the remaining frontrunners will be Shrek, Goku and Spongebob.

I keep hearing Goku, and that of course overlooks Nintendo's own Goku from Yuyuki, which makes me sad.
Anyway, I voted K. Rool. Too bad the DLC trailers are mostly real-time footage, apparently.

Point of order; you're actually able to vote more than once. Friends-of-friends on Facebook have posted that they'd voted for multiple characters, including, notably, this guy who posted that he'd voted for Midna & Wolf Link, Chibi Robo, Travis Touchdown, Shovel Knight, and Paper Mario. I also voted twice when I voted for Impa, using my second vote for King K. Rool. What effect voting multiple times has I don't know, but you really can just re-open the link and cast a new vote.
