Gonna miss ya, Bill. Really excited that Treehouse Live is coming back. But also, new Nintendo World Championships! Maybe it's time for me to come out of retirement? I haven't competed since... Nintendo World Championship 1990. Slight correction, though. I believe Nintendo did have a competition in 1994. I can't remember if they called it Nintendo World Championship or not, but it was in the same style. The finalists had to compete in the original Donkey Kong Country before it got released.

Didn't NoA also have a competition when the original Star Fox came out?
Speaking of, I can't wait to see what the new Star Fox looks like. I wonder if Nintendo wheeled Q-Games out to make another Star Fox game? I also want to see what changes Itagaki made to Devil's Third over the course of this year. Hell, I just want to see everything.

Didn't NoA also have a competition when the original Star Fox came out? Yeah, the Star Fox Competition Weekend, but that was mainly a promotional thing just for the game. The NWC was part of an event called Powerfest 1990, which was held in convention centers across the US. The competition for Powerfest '94 was held in select Walmarts. Can't remember where the finals were held, but they were hosted by JD Roth.

No, really, I'm gonna miss him. Tanner clearly doesn't have Bill's level of experience.

Haven't had a good laugh like that in a while. It's also been confirmed that Mega 64 helped out with it. One flaw I did see in the video, Reggie played the the original Wii Sport Boxing instead of the Wii Sport Club version, that seemed a little odd to not try and show that. And it great to see the Nintendo World Championship get a official event again, it's been around one and a half years since Reggie asked about it on Twitter. (Yes, I already now about NES Remix version released last year referencing it).

I'm kind of underwhelmed. It feels like an extension of 2014. Tournament? Treehouse? Digital Event? Yeeeeah… Also, after hearing about so many upcoming releases this April, I do have my doubts on what else do they have. My general impression is that they'll show the Nintendo-Nintendo stuff like Zelda and Star Fox (since April was full of stuff like Fire Emblem if and Yoshi Woolly World), and maybe those joint venture stuff they announced earlier, and (of course) Smash… that's it, really. Thing is, they still have many things they've announced but not yet released. No, really, I'm gonna miss him. Tanner clearly doesn't have Bill's level of experience. But he still speaks better Japanese!

So how do you apply to the Nintendo World Championships anyway?

So how do you apply to the Nintendo World Championships anyway? I think they'll announce that in the E3 site.

E3 news! This is the E3 plan of Nintendo. At 2015-06-14 23:40 (UTC+9) (20 minutes before you can get Lucas), there will be announcements for Smash Bros. You can get whatever is announced immediately after the show. Nintendo of America has yet to announce the details. Come on...

Retro Studios tweeted Nintendo's E3 website.
Also, Yusuke Hashimoto of Platinum Games (and director of Bayonetta 2) retweeted Nintendo's E3 announcement. It's also confirmed that Platinum will be revealing a previously unannounced game. JP Kellams tweeted that their new game will "make you see red" and say "Oh my god!" Hmm...
I'll take a few guesses here:
- Next Level's Wii U project will also finally be shown. - There will be Super Mario Sunshine DLC for Splatoon, including a Delfino Plaza stage and a weapon based on FLUDD. - Nintendo will unveil its new rewards program.

I wouldn't look too deeply into Hashimoto's retweet. He has retweeted basically every single tweet from NCL for some time.

Well, the Microsoft conference wasn't bad. At least they focused on games. I enjoyed their little jab at Sony when they announced that Xbox One would be fully backward compatible with Xbox 360. ("Because we don't want you to pay for games you already own.") And they announced Rare Replay, a compilation pack of 30 classic Rare games, from PC and NES to Xbox 360, including Battletoads Arcade!

I haven't seen the new Amiibos mentioned anywhere here, I'm assuming everybody saw the Falco, ROB, Duck Hunt, Mr. G&W and Mii ones that were shown when the DLC was announced. Also these ones.
