I don't think I've talked about it much here, but I loved the original Freedom Planet, and I'm really excited for the sequel. The first gameplay trailer was released recently, and there's supposed to be a couple more in the next few weeks, followed by a free demo at the end of January.
Stephen DiDuro, the creator, has said the sequel will have a similar release pattern to the original: PC first, followed by a Nintendo console, and then other platforms, so an eventual Switch release seems likely. I bought the first on Wii U, but I might go PC for the second.

Here's the trailer for Milla. She was my least favorite in the first game, but I like her better in this one. They also revealed a fourth playable character: Neera. She was in the original game, also, but as an antagonist. They've also released a free demo of the game that you can download for Windows at the official site. It includes one stage and all four characters. I've been playing around with it, and it's a lot of fun! Can't wait for the full version! |

Bump! Wow, this game has been in development a long time.
Freedom Planet 2 finally has a release date of September 13, and it will be multi-platform day one.
Definitely looking forward to this, but why does it have to be the same month as Xenoblade Chronicles 3?
