Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is at 1.86 million units after eight months, which I think is really good. That's more than what Definitive Edition sold in more than twice the time. (1.68 million after 19 months.)
Fire Emblem Engage is at 1.61 million units. I think that's pretty good, all things considered, but I guess that's less than what Three Houses did in about the same amount of time. (1.61 vs. 2.29 in two months?)

This fiscal year, Nintendo posted 490 billion yen profit (+13.4% compared to last year), and has recorded 1671 billion yen in sales (+4.4%). Unit sales in Switch hardware has dropped, but due to a larger portion of sales come from Nintendo Switch (OLED Model), sales in DLC (which don't count towards software sales units) and the Japanese yen generally being a relatively worthless currency, the sales amount has seen an increase. The interesting news today isn't any of these, though. Furukawa has just acknowledged the existence of the successor to Nintendo Switch, and that it will be announced within this fiscal year.

It's even more impressive when you consider that Nintendo spent much of the late 1980s hyping up the several-times-delayed Super Famicom, whereas we still don't have any official words on what the Switch successor will be.
At this point, only Game Boy remains longer-lived, being released 9 years ahead of Game Boy Color and 12 years ahead of Game Boy Advance.
