Wanna see an actual photograph from 1889 of the original Nintendo HQ? Of course you do.It's actually pretty darn cool that somebody found this.

Wow, very cool. Amazing this humble little playing card company would become one of the most successful entertainment companies in the world.

The irony is that, apparently, many big Japanese video game companies had connections to organized crime throughout the '80s and early '90s, with the two exceptions being Nintendo and Namco.

There is the element too, it's like, behind every successful company (or giant) there is a large shadow they would rather hide away. It's not that these giants are 'bad', yet if Nintendo were sued for controversy back then it could have killed them. (If anyone remembers Wall-e; there is that sociological fan interpretation inspired by Becker's philosophies, although that may be going a little too much of a tangent) Nintendo may have had theirs with NES chip lockout (with Gaming Historian(??) asserting other companies [e.g. Tengen] did not like it, and felt the company was arrogant), the Pokémon Jynx (though Game Freak's work), then the controversial ventures like the game Time Twist, the arcade experiment Fascination, and the Love Hotels. Also lots of people may not know, Sega was originally for military (Service Games).
OK off-topic: Sanrio has one called Ringing Bell.
