So, Nintendo has finally announced (most of) their plans for the premium online service. Here are the official sites with pricing and features: North America, Europe, Japan. Not sure I'm going to jump into this right away since I'm not currently into any online games. Save data cloud backup is cool, but unfortunate that it has to be a premium service. I still think the prices are very reasonable, tho. Also, I look forward to seeing what other NES games will be available, and hopefully there will eventually be more than just NES games.

Online games: Not interested, but I do wonder if this will affect online leaderboards such as Super Mario Odyssey. (For the record, the free tier of PSN supports viewing online high scores.)
NES games: No. It's my least favourite Nintendo home console, and I'm done with classic games anyway.
Family Account: I don't need it.
Online save backup: Now this is a very compelling reason to get this service. But what if my Switch dies after the Nintendo Switch Online service stops?
Other perks: What other perks? I wish they'd talk about it now.
The price is good, even if it's just for the save backup alone. I'll still wait and see, though.
