I know the game is very dark (18) but being a Nintendo IP I would love to understand it in terms of positive themes. The impressions I get from it are like Final Fantasy VII; Mako energy being like the soul robbed from a machine (in fact it sounds like "anima company" nature is nature without any labels or even knowledge; hence cannot be metaphorically sold). It also reminds me of Giga Wrecker Alt by Game Freak!

I own it, but I haven't played it quite a few years. Frankly I think that's giving the game too much credit, it's really a "rule of cool" type game.

I own it, but I haven't played it quite a few years. Frankly I think that's giving the game too much credit, it's really a "rule of cool" type game. I see. Mmm Yes, it's probably just not for me either. From childhood I preferred Pokémon, Mario always; those types of games. That's why Nintendo was so appealing. But I watched my brother on PlayStation, he played Final Fantasy VII, I loved it but I didn't understand it and my sort of comic relief but mild violence game for that console was Worms World Party.
After I grew older, learning about games like Geist from this site and that lots of consoles have more light-hearted games too (Ape Escape, Katamari to name a few); I realised it's not black and white like that. Geist however, may be a little too out my comfort zone to get into, even though I like to analyse these things. I have it too and am much older than 18 now, but only for my personal Nintendo collection (as I personally don't mind hoarding; but am selling certain non-Nintendo published games), and may never play it.

Like I said, I haven't played it in many years, so you should try it yourself and see. I barely remember what happens in it, so you might find what you're looking for.
