This game has a fascinating story, but has received mixed reviews. It is themed on like an apocalyptic world where robots take over, and the only way for Reika to be the hero is to be robotically augmented herself. Why I find this so symbolic is that in our arrogance; we can feel only humans are capable of consciousness. But what truly is consciousness? It is where the para-psychology of phantasmagoria manifests, also interpreted as a mechanical heart - and the Tao analogy of consciousness and determinism being abstraction (yin/yang) - also I saw a mention to samsara in the game from Buddhism. This is not a coincidence, I don't feel it is.
"Saṃsāra (/səmˈsɑːrə/) is a Sanskrit word that means "wandering" or "world", with the connotation of cyclic, circuitous change.[1][2] It also refers to the concept of rebirth and "cyclicality of all life, matter, existence", a fundamental assumption of most Indian religions.[3][4] In short, it is the cycle of death and rebirth.[2][5] Saṃsāra is sometimes referred to with terms or phrases such as transmigration, karmic cycle, reincarnation, and "cycle of aimless drifting, wandering or mundane existence".[2][6]"

(-Also cycles are stereotyped with women, but men have spiritual cycles too, and Reika has some traits of stereotypical feminine; again stereotypes though)
Therefore, if religion exists why is it only for humans. If world peace is a thing why is one man's meat another man (or animal's) poison? And indeed the very objects we create could gain consciousness too from the manifestation of 'evolution'

This said, I just haven't got into the game yet. The game mechanics are confusing for me and I didn't really enjoy the 'assembly' mechanic because I'm not that good at puzzles even though I am on autistic spectrum and do programming work (in fact Zygarde was intended to be a manifestation of nature; snakes are spirit animals for that; but maybe the reason we didn't get a Pokémon Z featuring Zygarde may have been in good taste regarding current sociological events involving the division of natural environmentalists and conservatives/people who believe in dogma). It's where the postmodernists (as irrational as they may sound) are on to something. Is there a science of spontaneity - it just doesn't make rational sense to us - though Einstein said something about this; that life itself is a delusion - and there are already themes of that; the human's natural ability since children to copy and even become possessed by a theory in dogma - and also in postmodernism they talk about the sociology of thrill; I guess it's like sometimes we get bored with life so do what seems fun even if dangerous.
In this thread too, you can share other posta-copoliptic robot things in the media.
