Gimmick was known for its innovative soundtrack. I'm unsure if it has been ever rereleased other than a 2002 PlayStation version, and now the game can be very expensive. It was first released in Japan, and later in Scandinavia as Mr. Gimmick and there was a version called Suikan Pipe, but apparently may be a bootleg. This makes me wonder for the reasons why Gimmick hasn't been rereleased on Nintendo's eShops yet. Another Sunsoft game is Trip World for Game Boy, which has been re-released on 3DS Virtual Console.

It always seemed so random that the only place outside Japan that Gimmick was released was Scandinavia. I wonder what the story behind that is.
Can't say I've ever been into Sunsoft's games except for a light interest in the Blaster Master series, and even then, Inti Creates is probably doing a better job with it.

I wonder if the art style was reminiscent of Moomins (Finnish lifestyle brand?)? Sunsoft had a Moomins game for GBC. Also, we're in luck? www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cYIlPcbwW4 (Video is apparently from (Exa-Arcadia; JAEPO 2019)) Perhaps this could get a console release that's available to a wider audience.
