It's unusual for Nintendo to outright buy a developer, but Next Level has been working exclusively with Nintendo for several years, now, so it's not entirely surprising.

They've been working exclusively on Nintendo titles lately anyway, so any question on them potentially leaving Nintendo would be long in the past. I wonder why are the owners selling the commpany?
I also wonder if Nintendo-style bureaucracy will affect them further, although this usually doesn't affect subsidiaries as much as Nintendo themselves. Wait… what?

With how well games have been selling in 2020, it's really the perfect time for these guys to cash out.
My biggest question is if NCL will appoint someone from NoA to take control of them, or if they'll handle them like Monolith Soft and keep the staff as they are?
