The trio of Nikki, Lindsey and Ginny have Next Level Games' initials as theirs. The Gameboo Horror of this game is the Virtual Boo, a Virtual Boy. You can even buy cartridges for it that show you collectible locations. Here it is in action. In the sewers level, you can find a wall covered in neon paint. Given the contrast, I think it's a Splatoon nod. In the film studio level, there are movie posters for each of NLG's previous games. Here's Punch-Out... ...as well as Mario Strikers, Mario Strikers Charged and Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. You can even find an intractable Little Mac boxing glove behind the Punch-Out poster.

I know about most of these, but I didn't draw the connection between the neon paint and Splatoon, nor did I notice the magician trio having the initials NLG. Do we have the poster images ripped from the game itself? I always find it unsatisfying to be unable to view them at a straight angle. I can't find those at The Spriters Resource. www.spriters-resource.com/nintendo_switch/luigismansion3/

I've not been able to find them myself if the textures have been ripped. That'd be nice, since the fixed camera does make it cruddy to use as reference.
One additional easter egg: The remaining poster is apparently for Metroid Prime Federation Force, though I've not played it so I'm not sure how it relates to the game.
