Some of you might remember me as the fanatic that was after the special colored Mach Rider (and I never did figure out an obvious way to make the trick work, at least in the NES version)
But I am back with some more interesting stuff!
This may be known by some people, but I didn't see it posted at some code sites, so I figured that I would just drop this in. In Excitebike, I found that if you knocked down 6 opponents (without getting knocked down yourself or coming to a complete halt) you will change colors and gain infinite boost! Quite fun, and I know it works in both the NES and the ARC VS versions of Mach Rider.
Now, while investigating Clu Clu Land, I happened across another little mystery. This probably is known and has just gone undocumented, but in the beginning of Clu Clu Land arcade, if you let the game sit and run through it's demo, it shows you characters, enemies, and what not...
But one thing in particular stands out to me, and that one of the objects goes like this...
"Name" Notes Boss SECRET High score Unira (enemies)
Where Secret is located would normally be a picture of the object they are showcasing at the moment.
Obviously, I get intrigued when a game comes out and says "YO I HAVE A SECRET", much more pleasing to the mind than that Mach Rider. But I have gotten the high score and nothing really... special happens. No 'boss' stage or whatever. So I dunno, maybe you guys know more about this.

Yep, on VS. Clu Clu Land, and the Famicom Disk Clu Clu Land there is a boss (though I'm not sure how you reach it). It's Boss Unira, and is basically a one-eyed urchin, four times the size of a regular urchin, and much faster. It's worth 5000 points. 01 Nintendo (a Japanese Nintendo site) has pictures of it. Click on Famicom, and then click on the Disk System version of Clu Clu Land.
