KORG DS-10 meets Electroplankton. It's not that unusual to see people using Nintendo DS as musical instrument, but this is still interesting.

Part of me thinks they should have just used Anna as a final FE rep. Her Final Smash will deduct real money from your eShop account, because this seems to be a thing Nintendo is into lately.

This year's Awesome Games Done Quick marathon is going on right now, and they actually started it off with a Splatoon speed run that's pretty fun to watch:
And here's a speed run of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Japanese version) from the same guy that did the Radiant Dawn speed run last year. Unfortunately, the audio seems to be kinda screwed up in the video.

So, you think a live TAS of Brain Age doesn't sound very interesting? Trust me, you want to see this:

Remember the guy who beat Vanquish last year with only one hand due to a disability? Well, this year, he beat Transformers: Devastation one-handed on the hardest difficulty. (He's holding an Optimus Prime toy in his other hand.)

A couple of years ago, a player by the name of Zallard1 beat Super Punch-out blindfolded, although he wasn't actually expecting to be able to do it. It's an amazing run, however, and well worth watching. This year, he and another Punch-out player named Sinister1 did a blindfolded race through the original Mike Tyson's Punch-out that's also pretty incredible to watch:

Just a quick update: Games Done Quick has re-uploaded the videos for Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Transformers: Devastation with the audio fixed (although the Transformers video only started off with bad audio, and it was fine by the time the run started). I'm posting them here again for convenience because the original videos have been removed.
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Transformers: Devastation

Here's a lovely tribute to Satoru Iwata from this year's GDC Awards. (Get tissues ready.)

Hardcore Gaming 101 just put up the first half of an F-Zero article. (The second half is coming later this month.)

It's always interesting to see BS footages. Also, I really want to see official 64DD support in the future. For what it's worth, it did better than Virtual Boy in Japan. They probably don't want to support a platform with only 8 games though, especially since even the main Nintendo 64 system didn't have particularly stellar VC support.
I'll look forward to the next part. F-Zero Climax is my favourite in the series.

Last week, there was a game marathon called RPG Limit Break. It's similar to Games Done Quick in that it's all speed running, but it focuses entirely on RPGs. I had a lot of fun watching it, and I wanted to share some of my favorite runs.
Here's the entire Quest For Glory series being played in under two hours. It's interesting not just because it's good to see this series get a bit of attention, but also because its creators, Lori & Cory Cole, provide commentary during the whole run, and they actually have a lot of funny anecdotes.
This actually inspired me to finally finish Quest For Glory II a few days ago, and I've already moved on to the third one.
Here's a speed run of Ys Origin, which is still my favorite in the Ys series. Good to see it get some attention, too.
It hasn't been uploaded yet, but the longest "speed run" in the marathon was for Chrono Cross, which took over seven hours. I didn't really get to watch it because it happened during the night here, but I'm interested in seeing at least part of it just for the endurance factor.
