If those give coins or a heart, that means they're at the same level as the generic amiibo not specific to Super Mario Odyssey.
I wonder what do they count as in other games.

It'll be a real missed opportunity if it doesn't add Super Mario Cereal as an edible item in Breath of the Wild.

I forgot about this, but RPG Limit Break is doing a Fire Emblem speedrun marathon today.

Not really a fan of speedruns (both RTA and TAS) of Fire Emblem. You either end up not recruiting or outright killing your units, or you put in additional requirements to get them all and use up much more time in the process.
Found this nice little documentary on the history of Nintendo World Championships. It covers: Nintendo World Championships 1990 Nintendo Campus Challenge 1991 Super Nintendo Campus Challenge 1992 Powerfest 94 NES Remix 2 Nintendo World Championships 2015 Nintendo World Championships 2017
I didn't even know some of those competitions exsited.

I was about to create a new thread, only to realise I didn't actually have much to add. After so many years of wondering why, I stumbled upon a listing of Nintendo hardware codes and what do they stand for: ipfs.io/ipfs/QmXoypizjW3WknFiJnKLwHCnL72vedxjQkDDP1mXWo6uco/wiki/List_of_Nintendo_codenames.htmlThis Simplified Chinese blog post from two days ago also listed a few that's not covered in the above page: cowlevel.net/article/1933364To summarize in a list (in case of link rot): Hardware | Code | Meaning |

Funny video on how Mario Kart Wii can help you with maths. They start with basic maths but go on to explain how it can help with a lot more complex stuff. www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4rrOYng0rs

Here's video of the SNK 40th anniversary panel from Pax earlier this month. It includes staff from SNK, as well as Frank Cifaldi. I thought it was pretty interesting.

So, there's some guy on YouTube reviewing the Top 25 NES games. You might find it interesting.

Nintendo music robotically played on piano and drums
(I saw this done before with a voice and it sounded like a haunted piano)

Who needs a Switch when you could have a Wii U coat?

I actually want to have a portable Wii U. This design is actually very brilliant, without having to modify the Wii U.
This guy has made a lot of videos on how to play the Wii U outside, but I think this is the first time such a setup supports both screens.

It seems Nintendo of America's twitter is fraternizing with the Xbox twitter to take a jab at PlayStation's lack of cross play. Click through to see the thread.
