Well, I did say if something untoward happened then I would have to rethink the rules here. Around four hours ago, a "guest" to the forums decided to start posting a number of messages under different names, each post more stupid than the last. Thankfully they only did it a bit, and it has been undone, but this is an abuse of the freedom I encourage here. And so I have to sadly announce that guests will not be permitted to post. You will have to register as a member. Frankly, most of the regulars here have done just that already, but if someone wishes to ask a question without necessarily going through the whole registering process, then I'm afraid you can't. I suggest you blame stupid kids who like to abuse the good things in life. As a sidenote, I will be watching these forums carefully from now on. Any new members will be observed closely for a while. Well... not SuperLuigi... he's our newest member, but I've known him for years

I couldn't get into this forum without logging in. Is there a reason for this?

Nope. I changed nothing like that. Boy, that would be a pest. Maybe the cookie that remembers your name doesn't work if I change certain forum rules or something... should be ok now. If not then make sure to say so and I'll see what I can do. Believe me... I'm not trying to make life hard for you.

Authoritarian rule!
Nah, that's cool - the site will be better off with certain controls in place to ensure no stupidity.

I hd just assumed you had to register here, so I didn't even bother trying to post s a guest XP But yeah, stopping guests ffrom posting is good idea IMO. I would have never allowed it in the first place, but hey, I'm a lot meaner than you too
